ADDA (2014 - 2017)

The aim of ADDA (ADvancement of Dairying in Austria) was to establish a national competence network to ensure and support sustainable and economic production, processing and refinement of milk, the improvement of animal health and food quality.

To ensure this along the entire value chain, about 30 partners from science and industry worked together. ZAR was responsible for the practice-oriented research block Components of Competitive Milk Production (Area 2).

The K-Project ADDA - Advancement of Dairying in Austria is an agricultural oriented competence project. It was funded by the Ministries BMVIT, BMWFJ, the State of Lower Austria and the City of Vienna as part of COMET (Competence Centres for Excellent Technologies). The COMET program is handled by the Research Promotion Agency FFG. The results from Area 2 were presented at the 2018 ZAR seminar (conference documentation available at
